How to Use Chakras to Heal: Matrix Work

.

Matrix Work was developed by Dr. Nahoma Asha Clinton, a Jungian psychologist and Energy Psychotherapist. Matrix Work uses chakras in combination with many of principles of energy psychology to eliminates energy blocks that are preventing clients from letting go of blocking beliefs and trauma.

In Matrix work, the client tunes into the problem that is troubling them. Next the client is cleared of any energy reversals that could block the process by using energy psychological correction techniques. Then the client holds one hand over one of the seven chakra points and moves their second hand to the each of other chakra points. The specific chakra point associated with the stationary hand is identified through muscle testing. By holding the different chakra points, the client is connecting up the two energy centres and moving energy within the body. The change process in Matrix work is gentle. Most clients report feeling calm and peaceful after a Matrix session. Matrix Work also incorporates the use of mediation to open the chakras and move energy.

The advantage of Matrix work is that it is a systematic approach for thoroughly eliminating all of the effects of the trauma. There are four stages in the Matrix process: the Matrix Covenant, clearing Core Traumatic Patterns, clearing Traumas and eliminating Core Negative Beliefs.

In the first stage, called the Matrix Covenant, the task is to get agreement from all parts of the client to do the healing work. Energy psychology reversal corrections and chakra balancing are employed to accomplish this goal. In second stage, the task to eliminate the repetitive traumatic patterns in the client’s life such as "I was unheard. I was abandoned." In the third stage, the client works on eliminating the negative core beliefs established in the context of the trauma. Dr. Clinton has come up with a series of 62 different matrices of core beliefs. Hence the name, Matrix Work. Each matrix has a number of core beliefs that are related to the concept represented by the Matrix. For example, in the abandonment matrix, we find "I am alone, I can’t trust anyone to not abandon me, I can’t be rescued from this aloneness". If a client tests strong for these core beliefs, the chakra balancing in the matrix process would be applied. For more information: www.MatrixWorks.org.
